The producers of The Voice 2014 Season 6 decided to nix the Knockout Rounds this season and added The Battles Round 2, which kicked off last night on The Voice USA Season 6! It was a chance to see the winners from the Battle Rounds take each other on, but this time they got to pick the song they would sing! For Team Blake, we saw a battle between Audra McLaughlin and Megan Ruger, which did not disappoint! Blake Shelton thinks they are both young, powerful singers. Megan has been living in Nashville for the past few years, but did not want to sing a country song! They sit down and have three songs to pick from and decide on the Miley Cyrus song, which they think will fit both their styles. Chris Martin asks if Miley’s twerking during this song! To be honest, this was an amazing battle. They both have such strong voices and their own style, but I would go with Megan on this one!
Usher said Audra gave a better performance, but they were both excellent. Shakira said Audra started out shaky, but connected more to her performance than Megan’s. Adam Levine said they both hit impressive big notes. Blake said they both had surprising unpredictable voices, but he picks Audra as the winner and no steal for Megan, so she was eliminated on The Voice 2014 Season 6 last night!
